Character profile and Actor/ess Profile

Evaluation- what we/I learnt
From doing this character profile, we learnt the importance of giving a different portrayal to individual characters which will enable the audience to have different perceptions of what they think of the characters. But, J is not going to be in the opening sequence of our film as much, so it will be difficult to fully understand J give an interpretation of him. But, this character profile has gave us an idea of what we hope the different characters to be like.

The Actor/ess Profile, or the casting list, gave us what ethnicity is going to be presented predominately in our opening sequence. As our area is very multi-cultural, we wanted to display multiculturalism, especially people from Asian Descent, in our opening sequence as they are generally presented negatively in the media. So, both the character profile and actor/ess profile has allowed me to know what I, as a Director, want specifically in my opening sequence as well as whether or not I want to subvert or conform to Thriller film code and conventions regardless of my opening sequence being of a hybrid genre.
